Action time: the disability movement urges the EU to walk now (media release) |

Madrid, 09 May 2010 | The 14th Annual General Assembly of the European Disability Forum (EDF) was marked by the adoption of the emergency resolution on the economic crisis in Europe and the need to adopt long term policies, in particular the adoption of the Disability Pact as part of the Europe 2020 strategy.
Francisco Moza, Spanish Secretary of State for Social Affairs, addressed more than 200 representatives from national federations and European disability associations. Mr Moza reassured persons with disabilities and their families of the current EU Spanish Presidency’s commitment to advance work in disability policies, in close cooperation with the disability movement.
